Payment Methods
Rodavia connects you with local suppliers in Cyprus. The payment splits into two parts: a booking advance you settle online when you reserve, and the balance you handle at the rental desk under the terms printed in your voucher.
Advance Payment Online
When you complete a booking, you pay an advance by card through our secure gateway. We accept Visa and Mastercard. This advance confirms your reservation and forms part of the total amount. The voucher specifies how much remains for collection day.
Credit and debit Visa cards processed online.
Credit and debit Mastercard processed online.
Balance at the Desk
The voucher states what you owe when you collect the vehicle and which payment methods the supplier accepts. Most rental desks in Cyprus take credit cards. Debit card acceptance varies by company - some require a credit card for the security deposit, others work with debit. A handful of suppliers accept cash for the balance, though this is less common.
Check your voucher before you travel. If the supplier requires a credit card and you only hold debit, contact us through the details on the voucher so we can clarify options or suggest an alternative provider.
Security Deposit
The rental company will block or take a deposit at the desk, separate from the hire charge. The voucher lists the deposit method - usually a hold on a credit card, sometimes cash. This amount returns after you drop off the vehicle undamaged and with the agreed fuel level. Deposit handling sits entirely with the supplier; Rodavia processes only the booking advance.
